Covid-19 Responses

During the Covid-19 Pandemic, many lives were affected with the risk of life-threatening virus. RSB Foundation took charge to contribute to the society by providing the best of aid possible to the patients suffering with the disease. In association with Swaroop Vardhini, Pune, RSB Foundation made distribution of 3000 food packets, organized free preventive health checkup camps, Plasma Donations, and helped in performing the last rites of 187 deceased people in Pune.

During the pandemic times, as the number of affected patients were rising, the hospital beds were scarce, oxygen cylinders were limited, the hospitals were facing difficulties in sufficing the beds for patients. In this situation, RSB Foundation appointed volunteers in five hospitals during Covid pandemic, to coordinate and provide information about bed availability in hospitals and support timely medical aid to the affected patients. RSB Foundation organized street plays along with doctors for Covid vaccination awareness in Pune, Sambhajinagar, Latur, and Osmanabad districts which reached more than 3 lakhs population. Our covid relief program supported vaccination of approximately 5lakh beneficiaries in Jharkhand and Maharashtra.

Our Success Stories

Welcome to DAV Padmabati Public School

The villagers were not able to send their children to school due to the distance of the government school from their location, lack of awareness, lack of interest in education, and financial issues. On conducting a need assessment study in 2011, we discovered that an educational institution nearby the village was the need of the hour. In 2011, we initiated this project as an individual venture that was completely free for all rural students and provided nutritious food and medical checkups for their good health. We also provided transportation facilities for the students who were coming from afar. Later (On the 28th of December 2016), we collaborated with a premier central educational body called DAV for the implementation of this projectat an affordable and nominalfeestructure. Our commitment is to inculcate basic human and traditional values, as already enshrined in the charter of the Padmabati Shiksha Niketan Society when it was founded and continues to be maintained.

DAV Padmavati Public School

Our school is affiliated with CBSE. This project facilitates education and digital literacy through separate provision of science and computer labs. In addition to the same, we are coming up with another building for classes 11th& 12th as a part of the infrastructure development plan. Through this, we are targeting to cater to a greater number of rural students to benefit from our school and not haveto shift to other schools post 10th to appear for their higher secondary exams.

BS School, Sundarnagar Arogya Project

To improve the health status of female students by offering them free primary health care of high quality, at their doorstep. To raise awareness amongst tribal schoolgirls on cleanliness, hygiene, and health.

BSA School & Badalgoda Arogya Project.

To provide quality primary health services free of charge to the people of 10 villages at their doorstep. To educate people not to defecate in the open, and promote improved water, sanitation, and hygiene practices. Particularly focus on schools and the formation of "School Sanitation Clubs”. Counseling at least 40% of addicts and their families in the village. To save Health-related expenses of village Population.

Pre-Metric Coaching Classes.

During covid when schools and colleges were operating online, these rural students had no access to online teaching, that is when RSB Foundation came forward to help them by providing them online as well as offline coaching [maintaining social distance] for Maths, Science, and English to help them to appear for their board exams that year.

Project Arogya Sampada

The villages in Taluka Mulashi are located in remote areas, which makes it challenging for the residents to access quality healthcare services. To address this issue, the RSB Foundation along with doctors and health workers, from Mulshi Taluka Health Department runs a mobile health unit van 4 times a month covering 3 villages a day and conducts regular health checkups, child and mother vaccinations, and other necessary medical services such as blood pressure, sugar, hypertension, eye check-up etc. We intend to provide awareness on healthy living and other health-related issues in the targeted community.

Badalgoda Community Health Camp

In this above video clip, she said, You people (the RSB Foundation) come here regularly for the community health camp, so I am alive and healthy till now". Badalgora is a medium-sized village located in Dumaria Block of Purbi Singhbhum district, Jharkhand, with a total of 82 families residing there. The Badalgora village has a population of 465, of which 234 are males and 231 are females, as per the 2011 Population Census. In Badalgora village, the population of children 0–6 is 80, which makes up 17.20% of the total population of the village. The average sex ratio of Badalgora village is 987, which is higher than the Jharkhand state average of 948. The child sex ratio for the Badalgora as per the census is 739, lower than the Jharkhand average of 948.

Nandivali Village Development.

Nandivali village is predominantly occupied by senior citizens. The nearest Water body was almost 5-6 km away and roads were uphill and downhill also mostly inaccessible. Most of the youth have migrated to nearby cities leaving these people vulnerable. In an effort to empower the community in Nandivali Village, Taluka Mulshi, the RSB Foundation has taken an extraordinary step by providing a water tank with an impressive capacity of 30,000 litres. The foundation aims to encourage the villagers to explore alternative agricultural products and diversify their crops, including the production of turmeric and other medicinal and aromatic plants. This initiative is expected to enable the villagers to become self-sufficient and independent also improving their health conditions by regular checkups through qualified doctors and health workers. This project aims to benefit more than 100 village members.
