Model Anganwadi Project

Birbans, Gamharia block, Seraikela- Kharsawan district.

Purpose

To promote and support learning in a suitable environment through enhanced infrastructure.
Using this platform educate the mothers of children age group 3-6 years regarding nutrition health, hygiene and nourishment.

Objective

To Improve the health status of children below the age of six years.
Laying the foundation for the proper psychological, physical, and social development in a child.
Reducing the incidences of mortality, morbidity, and malnutrition.
Reduction in school dropouts by improving the health of the children
To achieve effective coordination of policy and implementation among various departments to promote child development.
To enhance the capability of the mother to look after the health and nutritional needs of their child.

Initiative

Renovation/Repair/Repainting of Anganwadi Centre
Renovation/Construction of Toilet facilities in the Anganwadi.
Hand wash for the children of Anganwadi under ALTS (Anganwadi Led Total Sanitation).
Child-Friendly and Educative Mural Painting in the Anganwadi.
Organizing Awareness Programs for Mothers/Parents on Health & Nutrition.

Impact

Children below 5 years are well nourished because of constant awareness initiatives with the mother on the value of nutrition and wholesome food.
We provide basic Infrastructure so that the children can benefit from their age-appropriate education.
This secures their future in terms of their career.
