Support to Hepatitis C Positive Patients

Purpose
To improve their health by providing a kidney dialysis machine for hepatitis C-positive patients.
Objective
To collaborate with the Rotary Club of Pune and the Government Hospital of Pune Municipal Corporation to provide two dialysis machines for the treatment of the poorest of the poor. We offer our services at a minimal cost or even free, depending on the patient's income.
Initiatives
The cost of the dialysis machine was huge and thus difficult for every hospital to procure so easily therefore we provided two dialysis machines, especially for the hepatitis C patients, for regular treatment. The treatment is given free of cost and made easily accessible.
Impacts
- Improving the quality of life of patients with Hepatitis C.
- Reduces the financial burden of these patients.
- Catered to more than 30 patients so far on a weekly basis.
- Making healthcare more accessible to them.
